The Gyronimo Performance Pad for Cirrus SR20 provides a comprehensive tool for aircraft weight and balance management as well as performance calculations. Designed for SR20 aircraft serials 1268 through 2016 equipped with either analog or Avidyne avionics systems, and with a maximum takeoff weight of 3,000 lbs, this application aims to streamline flight planning processes.
Now featuring an integrated professional load manifest, users can sign directly on their iPad and email the completed document, enhancing operational convenience.
The software allows for precise calculation and interpolation of performance data directly from the Pilot's Operating Handbook (POH). This facilitates rapid completion of flight plans, minimizing preparation time while ensuring accuracy. Results are presented immediately with high-resolution graphics optimized for iPad 2/3 and iPad Mini devices.
Adjustments of key variables are made simple through intuitive sliders, enabling quick experimentation with different scenarios and "what-if" analyses. This capability assists pilots in optimizing parameters such as cruise altitude, takeoff ground roll, landing distance, climb performance, and stall speeds.
The Performance Pad is organized into seven primary sections:
- 1. The Mass & Balance Page: Calculates critical parameters including the Center of Gravity (CG), moments, takeoff weight, and zero fuel weight. User-friendly sliders allow rapid entry of personnel and baggage weights. Graphical displays—Moment Envelope, CG Envelope, and Aircraft Axis—offer visual confirmation of weight distribution within safe limits.
- 2. The Takeoff Page: Utilizes actual data from the POH to compute and display ground roll and landing distances based on variables such as aircraft mass, pressure altitude, density altitude (via elevation input), outside air temperature (OAT), runway conditions—including slope and surface type—and wind factors.
- 3. The Climb Page: Calculates time, fuel consumption, and distance during climb phases considering differences between takeoff elevation and planned flight level, along with temperature, pressure settings, and wind components. Displays rate of climb and climb speed for pilot reference.
- 4. The Cruise Page: Determines optimal cruise altitude based on trip distance, flight level options, power setting (MAP/RPM), temperature, wind conditions, and altimeter setting derived from the POH data.
- 5. The Landing Page: Estimates ground roll and landing distances factoring in wind direction, elevation, pressure setting, and runway conditions. The Wind Components Computer allows quick assessment of headwind or tailwind effects on landing distances.
- 6. Stall Speed Page: Computes stall speeds at various bank angles and flap configurations using actual POH data, presenting results in both KIAS and KCAS formats.
- 7. Setup: Enables loading and saving up to five aircraft configurations or scenarios. Users can generate and email a comprehensive Mass & Balance report or access tutorials via the included video resources.
